Inspired by the Lines of a Butterfly
This lampshade began with a simple thought: why do handmade macramé lampshades all have to look the same?
While exploring the pieces available for desks and side tables, I noticed how similar many of the designs felt. I wanted to create something that felt more personal—something inspired by nature rather than following familiar macramé patterns.
The design was born from the delicate lines and organic forms of a butterfly’s wings, translated into intricate macramé knots and flowing patterns. Natural, soft tones were chosen to complement the warmth of the light and allow the texture of the threads to come alive.
When illuminated, the patterns create gentle shadows and warm reflections, turning the light into part of the design itself.
Because this piece was never meant to be just a source of light.
It was created to bring warmth, character, and a little joy to the space it becomes part of.
