Authenticity Policy
Every piece on Kun Arabian carries a stamped certificate of authenticity. Here is how we make that promise stand.
Maker verification
Before a workshop can list on Kun Arabian, our editorial team conducts an in-person visit to confirm:
- The maker's identity, workshop address, and production capacity
- The materials and techniques they actually use day-to-day
- Working conditions and fair-pay compliance
- Documentation of any heritage claims (e.g. multi-generational workshop)
Certificate of authenticity
Each piece is accompanied by a stamped certificate that records:
- The maker's name and workshop address
- Materials, weights, and origin of stones or metals
- Production technique and lead time
- A unique edition number and QR code linked to our makers' registry
Buyer protection
If you have reason to doubt the authenticity of a piece you've received, email authenticity@kun-arabian.com within seven days of delivery with photos and the certificate's edition number. We investigate within 5 business days. If a piece is found to be misrepresented, we refund the full purchase price plus return shipping and pursue the matter with the maker directly.
Heritage claims
Where a workshop or piece carries a heritage claim — for example, "fourth-generation goldsmith" or "loom dating to 1936" — we publish supporting documentation on the seller's page and link it from the product. Unsupported claims are removed.
Annual review
Every active maker is re-audited annually. We re-inspect the workshop, verify ongoing compliance with fair-pay standards, and renew the maker's registry entry. Makers who fail review are delisted.
